- When you notice stress creeping up it’s time to blow the balloon imaginary since you are a grown-up. Find a balloon and blow if you don’t have to imagine and pretend to be a kid again. What I mean is just breath.
- Play imaginary games in your head. Like a What if game. Example: What if things were different? What if you were at your favorite place of relaxation. What if………
- Pretend you are a kid again and find toys and play. Join your kids in the toy room or sandbox.
- Inner smile: try this and see how relaxed you get.
- Reminding your face to smile. Sometimes faces don’t remember to smile. A reminder now and again helps.
- Cross crawl; this is a Brain Gym exercise that helps to synchronize the right and left brain hemisphere by crossing the body midline. The right arm crosses to the left side of the body while the left leg crosses to the right side of the body. Reap over and over.
- Count backward from 100 to 1.
- Multitasking is a deadly energy sucker. Stop and do one activity at a time and see how much you get done
- Sit down in your favorite place close your eyes and breath in and out and for about 10 – 15 minutes
- Go for a walk in nature and connect to mother nature share your challenges.
